Have you ever wondered if your organization could
benefit from consulting services? Are you unsure what the end product is
from working with a consultant?
The Computer People recognizes these common questions and has
written this document to clearly explain what we offer and what you gain
through our consulting services. We consult with a three phase approach.
Phase I – Assessment
First, The Computer People come to you in learning mode. We listen
carefully to understand your firm’s goals and objectives. Next, we
partner with you to assess your current systems and how well those
systems are meeting your objectives. Our goal from Phase I is to create
a baseline to start from. This baseline will answer two questions:
1) What do you have? and 2) How can it
be improved?
Phase II – Gap Analysis
Once The Computer People have
learned your objectives and what previous investments you have made to
create your current systems, we consider the gap between where you are
today and what
your objectives are for the future. We take into consideration many
aspects of your business, including, your current IT inventory, business
processes, document management and problem resolution response time,
just to name a few.
We then create a detailed explanation of the
gap between where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow.
Phase III – Strategic Road Map
Based on the findings from Phase I & II, we work with you to develop a strategic road map with specific action items, responsibilities, schedules and milestones to turn your business goals into reality. This is where we determine the specific hardware and software needs you have to close the gap discovered in Phase II. After these three phases of consultation have been completed, The Computer People move on to deployment of the agreed upon solutions for your organization. Deployment is a critical phase to the success of any IT project.
